Leigh Ann Tomlinson Roberts was appointed Commonwealth Attorney in December, 2021. Commonwealth Attorney Roberts has served in the Office of the Commonwealth Attorney since 2006. Commonwealth Attorney Roberts served as a crime victims advocate in the office for approximately 9 years. She was named First Assistant Commonwealth Attorney in 2015. Commonwealth Attorney Roberts is a Carroll County native and is heavily involved in our community. Commonwealth Attorney Roberts has served in this Judicial Circuit and in the court system for over thirty-one (31) years.

Christopher Combs joined the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office in 2022, after serving in the Department of Public Advocacy since 2019 in Campbell and Boone Counties. Christopher graduated from Chase College of Law and is a current member of the Kentucky Bar. He is active in the Northern Kentucky Teen Court. Chris is very involved in the community and has a life-long career in community service with previous work as a firefighter/paramedic, as a teacher, and a pastor.

Marissa joined the Commonwealth Attorney's Office in 2022, after serving with the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, as a Social Service Clinician, since 2016. Marissa graduated from the Kent School of Social Work at the University of Louisville in 2015 and is a 2010 Carroll County High School graduate.
Bailey Leap joined the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office in June of 2022. Bailey is a senior at the University of Louisville acquiring a bachelor’s in criminal justice. Bailey is a 2021 Carroll County High School graduate. Bailey received her associates degree from Jefferson Community and Technical College in 2023. Bailey also worked in the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney as an intern while attending community college before her hire.

Brittany Dews joined the Commonwealth Attorney’s Office in June of 2023. Brittany is a student attending Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University. Brittany is a 2011 Carroll County High School graduate and received her master’s degree from Campbellsville University in 2023.
Laura Ball joined the Commonwealth Attorney's Office in June of 2024. Laura graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a bachelor’s in psychology, with a focus in Forensics, and a minor in Paralegal Studies. Laura is a 2020 Carroll County High School graduate. Laura also worked in the Office of the Commonwealth's Attorney as an intern while attending Eastern Kentucky University.

Alexis Lipe joined the Commonwealth Attorney's Office in June 2022. Alexis graduated from Carroll County High School, iLead Academy, and Jefferson Community and Technical College with an associate's degree in 2024. Alexis will attend Northern Kentucky University in the fall of 2024.
